BTS enters new era of music with entrancing ‘Butter’ music video teaser

BTS enters new era of music with entrancing ‘Butter’ music video teaser

South Korean juggernaut BTS, the biggest band in the world, is all set to release their second English 'Butter' after topping the charts last year with their first one 'Dynamite' followed by their Korean single 'Life Goes On' from their EP 'BE' (Deluxe Version). After series of promo content, the first music video teaser is here and it is absolutely enchanting.

The monochrome teaser shows RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook dressed in sparkly, crisp yet chic suits in either white or black colours with the extra drama of shoulder pads, cropped jackets, and slick hairstyle. As they bop their heads, the septet sends a flying kiss to the screen as the scene rolls to a plate of pancakes with butter dripping all over it. You hear the lyrics in Jungkook's voice for the first time he croons "Get it, Let it, Roll!"

While the chart-topping single 'Dynamite' was 70s retro-themed disco-pop sound, 'Butter' feels like BTS is now diving into the charismatic 80s era of synth-pop/disco-funk/rock sound. The beats reminded the fans of 'Another One Bites The Dust' by Queen as that era remains an absolute classic and well, QUEEN agrees (according to their Twitter). Notably, the sound of the song is very unique even when you feel nostalgic. As per the earlier description, it is a dance-pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS which we agree but the feel is beyond that. We aren't complaining!

BTS has racked up hits after hits so the anticipation for 'Butter' is immense. All eyes on BTS as we enter the new era of BANGTAN MUSIC.

BTS will release their new single 'Butter' on May 21. This song is the second English single following 'Dynamite' released in August last year. The first performance of the song will happen at Billboard Music Awards 2021.
